{Review} Happy Event Antenatal Lotion and Why I’m Loving It (CLOSED)

Disclaimer: I received free products in exchange for this review. All views and opinions are my own.

SPRINGTIME (2)As soon as you find out you’re expecting, you’re flooded with lists of products you need to buy as you research the market.

Apart from buying baby things, you need to think of taking care of yourself during and after your pregnancy. Your body goes through so many changes and you need to look after yourself in the best possible way. One of the biggest changes you face are the changes to your skin.

Currently being pregnant with my third baby, I’d say I’ve had my fair share of experience. Throughout my pregnancies, I may have forgotten to take my prenatal vitamins or follow through with my daily beauty routines, but I never skipped on moisturising my skin every day.

I find myself lucky that I was introduced to the Happy Event Antenatal Lotion early on in my first pregnancy. I had been using another brand at the time and my skin just wasn’t adjusting to the lotion as I had hoped. Within an hour of applying the lotion, my skin would feel dry again, which resulted in needing to apply more lotion, which meant I needed to buy the product more often and it started turning into a costly affair.

One of my friends introduced me to the Happy Event Antenatal Lotion and I haven’t looked back.

First, let’s chat a little about the product.

Happy Event is a specially developed formulation that combines all the natural benefits of olive oil with other emollients to create a unique blend of ingredients. This distinctive formulation and the fact that Happy Event is the only product based on natural olive oil, has helped many generations of pregnant women escape the problems of developing stretch marks.

Happy Event is complex combination of ingredients that each play their individual roles in creating the unique benefits this product provides.

The ingredients the lotion is made up of are:

  • Natural Olive
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin E
  • Beta Carotene
  • Squalene
  • Lanolin
  • Dimethicone

For more information about how all these ingredients are beneficial to your skin, you can visit the Happy Event product information section.

What I love about the product:

One of the first things I can say with certainty about the product is that you don’t need to use excessive amounts of the lotion to keep your skin healthy and moisturized. Would you believe it if I told you that a tube of 200ml lasts me over a month, even if I use it twice a day? Yep, believe it.

Because the lotion is so rich, you don’t need to use much to make sure your skin gets all the moisture it requires to keep hydrated. The lotion also absorbs quickly into your skin which means you don’t need to wait a while before being able to move on to doing something else, like getting dressed when you’re in a hurry and you’re waiting for a lotion/oil to absorb; the two don’t go well together, you know?

I also don’t need to worry about reapplying it to my skin every few hours to make sure I get the full benefits of the product. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon; I apply the lotion to my breasts, stomach, bum and my sides, and the results are magical.

Since you don’t need to use as much of the Happy Event Lotion as you would with other products, your monthly savings are fantastic! Of course, the more you use, the more you’ll need to stock up on the product. The beauty of this lotion is that you don’t need to use much so you don’t need to keep replacing it with a new tube.unnamed (2).jpg

I’ve been using the lotion throughout all my pregnancies, and now nearing the end of my third one, I can only say thank you to the amazing way this lotion has been formulated to keep my skin radiant and elastic to support my growing belly, and all other expanding body parts!

I don’t think I can recommend the Happy Event Lotion enough to expecting mamas. And what’s more, you can use the product after you’ve already had your baby! A lot of mamas don’t think about it but after your pregnancy, your skin once again goes through changes; trying to restore itself to the state it was before you fell pregnant. You can continue using the lotion to keep your skin moisturized. It is also designed for application during rapid weight loss or gain.

I’d like to add that no matter how much lotion you apply to your skin, it doesn’t mean you can’t get stretch marks during your pregnancy. The lotion helps to prevent stretch marks but depending on your skin’s temperament and your genetics, you could still get a few here and there. As you don’t know what the results could be, you need to take all the necessary steps right from the beginning to keep your skin healthy and looked after.

My recommendation: Happy Event Antenatal Lotion!
