SPRINGTIMEHello everyone!!!!

I’m baaaaack!

I know I’ve been MIA for a couple of months, but I needed a break from the blog. With all the changes that happened throughout the year, I needed to step back and take a big breath of fresh air.

I know, I’ve been breathing now for almost three months, but I’m back again and I’m ready to roll (or write, I think that will be more appropriate to say…)

Let me fill you in on what’s been happening a little… but first…

Can you believe it’s already December? I mean, I know, my calendar is telling me so, but can you believe 2017 is almost over?? It didn’t really hit me up I started seeing Christmas decorations everywhere which was about a month ago, but now it feels as if this month is just flying by on super speed!

I’m excited to announce that I have a couple of awesome projects coming up in 2018 on the blog, but I don’t want to give away too much yet as I don’t want to spoil the surprise. One thing I can say is that the logo will be changing soon! I know, again, and you’re thinking, “But you just changed it… and now… What is happening?”

It’s all good! There’s a good reason behind it. For those that don’t know yet, maybe (although I haven’t been able to keep quiet about it), we’re expecting our third baby in April 2018! What!!!! I know, I’ve mentioned a couple of times on the blog that we only decided to have two kids but we changed our minds earlier this year, and now we’re expecting a little girl. I can’t tell you how excited I am. I mean, yes, had it been a boy again, I would’ve loved him just as much but gosh, I’ve been wanting to have a daughter for a very long time!

So yes! That’s happening, and she’ll be here with us before we know it. I’ve just hit five months pregnancy so the countdown to her arrival is close! The boys are super excited too! Monster took a slow road to accepting the fact that there will be another baby in the house, but he’s finally showing more enthusiasm and interest, which happened right after he felt her kicking in my stomach for the first time. Gremlin, on the other hand, took a whole different approach. There are days where he can’t leave my belly alone, because he needs to talk to his sister, and kiss her, and hug her, and tell her good night, and also ask how she slept. I really love his enthusiasm but goodness, it can get a little overwhelming and a little awkward sometimes. For example, the awkward, if we’re out in public and he will randomly decide to lift my shirt to chat to his sister. That happened twice and once with me wearing a dress. As I said… Awkward times.22851862_1748860015126308_6799451848676268798_n

For reference on the blog, I’ll refer to her as Cay. I would love to share her full names (HB chose the most beautiful names ever!!!) but I have rules 🙂

We’ve finished our first full homeschool year, and what a year it has been. A year of learning and fun, but also frustration, tantrums and tears! I’m glad we’re on holiday now and the kids can now roam free outside in the yard and give me some space and a little peace on my own! There are a lot of things we’re going to do a little different next year that didn’t work out for us, so I’ve already been working on our program next year. Sorry, or not sorry, for the boys, there are going to be a lot more rules and responsibilities, especially with Cay joining us.

So what else have the kids been busy with? Gardening! We’re got a little veggie patch happening in our back yard and every day or so, the kids help me pick veggies for dinner. I’m loving this, as it gives us time to bond over other things as well as its educational.24067812_1780503238628652_2452974062354391560_n

What else has been new??

Oh yes, the boys and I went to Cape Town to visit my in-laws and it was AWESOME! I’ve never been there so it was a great adventure, and a chance to mark it off my bucket list! We visited so many beautiful places and towards the end of our two week visit, I realised that two weeks is not enough time to see the whole city! So hopefully, when we can go again, we’ll have a chance to explore even more!22448343_1732971200048523_7619289640096566647_n

That’s pretty much all that’s been happening in our lives lately. Same old with me, I’ve been trying to take it easy and rest more often (rest?? Hahaha!), even going to bed earlier than I did before. Although with the insomnia that’s been hitting me lately, it’s not working out too well.

How has all of you been? What’s been happening in your lives? Let me know in the comments 🙂

  1. Congrats Annie on the baby that is on the way! 2018 surely will be an exciting year. Lol it’s so cute the relationship your son has with his sister already, bet they will grow up to be best of friends. Glad to have you back and look forward to your revelations about the things in store!
