10 Habits of a Happy Woman

  1. Early Bird Gets the Worm
    Did you know that you are more likely to be happier and have a more successful day by just waking up earlier and getting out of bed? Life is sometimes too exhausting and we end up going to bed pretty late, and our bodies don’t get the rest they need. Happy people go to bed at a decent hour, get around 7-8 hours of sleep, waking up refreshed and ready for a new day.
  2. Find Your Smile
    Make sure to find it daily. After you wake up and jump into the shower – do something that makes you feel good. Find your smile within the first 30 minutes of the day. Find your smile and wear it all day.
  3. See Beyond Imperfections
    Happy people know that life doesn’t come clean with no flawless. They don’t judge others – they love almost everyone they come in contact with. They look for the good in their co-workers, their families and in themselves.
  4. Acknowledge Yourself
    This doesn’t mean you need to be a pot of overflowing pride but happy people are proud of what they do. They recognise when they accomplish something. They finish with they start. They are always trying to be better.
  5. Get Moving
    As much as most of us women want to stay in bed watching reruns of our favourite show – we cannot do that. Get yourself out of the house and get your heart rate up. Go for a walk, or even a jog. Visit the gym or do a workout at home. After you get your body moving, you won’t regret.
  6. Be Your Own Friend
    We can either be our own worst enemy or be our own best friend. It is up to you to decide. Don’t let your head {aka mind} tell you to be unhappy or bring you down. You deserve to find joy and be happy. Choose to be your own best friend – be happy with who you are, be proud of who you are, have confidence in what you do every day. Love the person looking back at you in the mirror and think positively about yourself.
  7. Be Grateful
    Happy people rarely take a day for granted. Recognise that every day is a blessing. Know that everything happens for a reason and that you are blessed. Name your many blessings – count them one by one!
  8. Slow Down
    We often feel like we have so much to do. Give yourself a break. Take time to smell the flowers. Don’t feel like you need to do everything in one day! Happy people don’t spend their days comparing themselves to others. Do what is best for you.
  9. Surround Yourself with Happy People
    It is true that depending on the environment you are in, it reflects on who you are. We rub off on each other and other people’s attitudes can affect yours. Be around those that bring the best out of you and uplift you.
  10. Simply the Best
    We really do have only two options – laugh or cry about everything in life. Choose the high road –  smile, laugh and make the best of it.
