DSC_10971. Are you staying at home because of someone else’s pressure?
Nope, it was a decision that me and hubby made when we were trying to fall pregnant cause we had problems falling pregnant and thought it could because of work stress so I quit.

2. What was something about being a stay at home dad that surprised you?
It’s more difficult than I thought I would be.

3. What is the hardest part?
Being cut off from others. For example, I used to have work people to chat to and now I’m alone at home with my little person.

4. What is your favorite part?
I have lots of time for cuddles with my daughter and to play and do silly things. Get to put more time and love into my home.

5. What is the biggest thing you’ve learned about yourself?
I’ve got less patience than I thought I did and I actually do miss having a job lol.

6. Do you ever regret this decision? {Please explain your answer.}
No never! It’s the best thing I could ever have done for my daughter and I have enjoyed it so so much!

7. Do you feel satisfied with this decision in general?
Totally!

8. How has your relationship with your partner changed, if at all, from this arrangement?
It has changed, we both have different responsibilities and roles in the house now and it’s taken time to adjust and we do get frustrated with each other at times. I find that me being tired and hubby wondering why I’m tired since iv been home all day gets on my nerves the most lol It takes some understanding from both sides cause he has the money stress on his plate.

9. Do you sometimes feel resentment towards your working partner?
No, not at all. We both have our “job” even if mine is at home with baba.

10. Do you have an equal say in financial decisions?
This is a hard one to answer as my hubby runs his own business so he makes a lot of the decisions himself but for like household stuff and big issues we discuss things together.

11. Do you take care of all the household commitments or are they shared with your partner?
I do all the house related stuff myself.

12. Do you think that only moms should be stay-at-home parents?
No, I think that dads could also be great at it!

13. What are your views on men that demand their partners to stay at home?
It’s very unfair! Any person should be able to choose what they want to do with their lives!

14. What advice can you give other moms considering staying at home?
If you want to do it then do it 🙂 it’s so worth all my time! the smiles and photos and days with the little one are worth more than anything. just remember to try and remain in contact with friends and get out the house for play dates and coffee or you may go slightly crazy hehe not in a bad way!
